2011 is the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International. In celebration, Norwich Amnesty is joining with the Big Sky choir to present a world premiere concert - a specially commissioned song cycle by four of the country's leading composers who have set works on the theme of freedom to music.Join us for this exciting event, launched in Norwich and then performed with other choirs across the country.

An exciting World Premiere of a newly commissioned choral work, to celebrate Amnesty’s Anniversary. The Norwich concert will be part of a national concert programme, involving choirs from a number of cities throughout the UK.

The concert will include works specially commissioned for the anniversary by leading composers Helen Chadwick, Sianed Jones, Karen Wimhurst and Katherine Zeserson. Helen and Katherine will be singing in the concert. The music will also be performed by various choirs throughout the UK over the next few months.
