| ROLL UP, ROLL UP - RAT RACE, RAT RACE
| |||
| On Saturday 29th November it’s BUY NOTHING DAY - time for the 2009 Norwich
| City Centre Rat Race! The race will highlight the moral, environmental and
| personal consequences of consumerism, and also challenge the city centre’s
| most unethical corporations. It would be great if as many people came
| along as possible! | ||
| |||
| Rat masks and ‘go faster’, ‘work harder’ signs will be provided and it
| would be good if people could dress smart (ish). We don’t know how long it
| will last but probably an hour or two of racing, with lots of rest breaks.
| |||
| Here’s what you need to know …
| DATE - SATURDAY 29th NOVEMBER
| MEET - ST ANDREW’S PLAIN (opposite Cinema City), ST ANDREW’S STREET, NR3 1AU.
| TIME - 2.30PM. | ||
| |||
| We all know that corporate consumer culture creates major social and
| environmental problems. From day one, we're sold the story that the more
| stuff we buy, the better off we'll be. But deep down, we also know that we
| can't buy happiness. So, let’s take a holiday from the consumer rat race.
| See you all Saturday 24th.
