Identity is a fluidand complex set of overlapping and sometimes contradictory properties
 +
and assertions. The complexity of personal and social identity will be
 +
explored in Photo-ID, a major exhibition in Norwich City Centre centred
 +
around The Forum throughout August 2009.
 +

 +
Free.

August 6th is Hiroshima Day. The message is '''Never Again'''.
 +
Everyone within half a mile of the bombs was instantly vaporised by intense
 +
heat. All that was left was their shadows burnt into stone walls. see
 +
http://www.hastingsagainstwar.org/news.htm for good summary
 +

 +
We mark the event  by painting shadows on the pavement in
 +
gentleman's walk (with council permission) on the evening of August 5th - meet
 +
8pm in car park of Friends' Meeting House.
 +

 +
On the day of August 6th, we will be leafletting in the same
 +
area from 12 am-2pm  to explain the shadows, then walking to the Peace Pillar in
 +
Chapelfield Gardens to share reflections and food.
