- | == | + | ==Stop Israel's crime against humanity, Norwich Rally & Vigil, Saturday 17 January, 11:30am to 1pm== |
- | + | ||
- | ------ | + | Last week we supported the largest demonstration for many years in London |
 | said to be around 100,000 people and also had a very successful rally and
 | procession in the centre of Norwich with several hundred attending. There
 | will be nationwide protests this coming Saturday in many towns and cities
 | including London. | ||
 | |||
 | In Norwich we shall be reconvening this Saturday 17 January for a rally
 | and vigil in the front of the Forum on Millenium Plain from 11.30am to
 | 1pm. | ||
 | |||
 | A broad panel of speakers is being assembled and names will be advised
 | later. We shall have stalls with leaflets, pamphlets, petitions and an
 | opportunity to join Norwich Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Norwich
 | Stop the War Coalition.
 | |||
 | Many of the people protesting in Norwich and London are doing so for the
 | first time and would like to stay in touch. PSC and StWC are two of the
 | main organisations leading this protest. We shall be encouraging people to
 | join us so that we continue to build the anti-war coalition in this
 | country. | ||
 | |||
 | Israel is pressing on with its relentless barbarism against the
 | Palestinian people and the death toll is fast approaching 1000 with
 | thousands more injured. While this continues we must continue to
 | demonstrate and oppose this massacre.
 | |||
 | We shall again call for the cessation of the Israeli government's war and
 | the bloodshed and destruction in Gaza, an end to the siege with the
 | opening of the borders and a restoration of the rights of Palestinians.
 | |||
