| + | Last week we supported the largest demonstration for many years in London | ||
| + | said to be around 100,000 people and also had a very successful rally and | ||
| + | procession in the centre of Norwich with several hundred attending. There | ||
| + | will be nationwide protests this coming Saturday in many towns and cities | ||
| + | including London. | ||

| + | In Norwich we shall be reconvening this Saturday 17 January for a rally | ||
| + | and vigil in the front of the Forum on Millenium Plain from 11.30am to | ||
| + | 1pm. | ||

| + | A broad panel of speakers is being assembled and names will be advised | ||
| + | later. We shall have stalls with leaflets, pamphlets, petitions and an | ||
| + | opportunity to join Norwich Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Norwich | ||
| + | Stop the War Coalition. | ||

| + | Many of the people protesting in Norwich and London are doing so for the | ||
| + | first time and would like to stay in touch. PSC and StWC are two of the | ||
| + | main organisations leading this protest. We shall be encouraging people to | ||
| + | join us so that we continue to build the anti-war coalition in this | ||
| + | country. | ||

| + | Israel is pressing on with its relentless barbarism against the | ||
| + | Palestinian people and the death toll is fast approaching 1000 with | ||
| + | thousands more injured. While this continues we must continue to | ||
| + | demonstrate and oppose this massacre. | ||

| + | We shall again call for the cessation of the Israeli government's war and | ||
| + | the bloodshed and destruction in Gaza, an end to the siege with the | ||
| + | opening of the borders and a restoration of the rights of Palestinians. | ||
