Good bye Norwich Scoop - December 2011 Thank you supporting Norwich Scoop. It has been a useful and fun tool for bringing people together, but Lesley and Luzie who run it feel that it has served its purpose. The need is now met by other sites, which have some overlap, and different emphases. We believe there is something for everyone on the sites below, and hope you will enjoy them. We encourage you to list your events and find each other on all or any of the following: http://www.norfolkmailing.info/default.asp The Norfolk Mailing is intended for those interested in natural health, well being, personal development, community, arts, sustainability and the environment. Occasionally events outside of Norfolk and events of global importance may be included at the discretion of the site manager. This is the most comprehensive of the sites. It is free to view, but those posting events are asked to contribute to running cost. http://www.norwichpeace.org Norwich Peace Camp & Peace Cycle embrace an apolitical and united commitment of local peace, community, faith, charity, environmental, human rights and other groups and organisations. Many of the 35+ connected groups have national and international connections - to peace, justice and better understanding. http://www.transitionnorwich.org/ We're part of a world-wide community movement in response to peak oil and climate change. This site gives you details of all our up and coming events and meetings, as well as reports, previews of films and books and related matters that are going on in Norwich and East Anglia. =Regular Events or Meetings= *Greenpeace: second Wednesday of the month, Forum cafe, 7:30 pm *Norwich Stop the War Coalition Steering Committee: fortnightly Wednesdays, Jurnet's Bar, Wensum Lodge, 7:30 pm (http://www.norwichstopwar.org.uk/) *Norwich Friends of the Earth:, 1st Monday each month, The Workshop Cafe (53 Earlham rd, NR2 3AD), 7:30pm (http://www.foenorwich.org.uk/) *Norwich Amnesty: open meeting, third Wednesday each month, Charing Cross Centre, St John Maddermarket, 7.30pm (http://www.norwichamnesty.org.uk/)
