Joining hands for social change , they challenge the constructs of a patriarchal Muslim society through emancipatory education in the repressive society of today's Pakistan. The story takes us deep into the heart of contemporary Pakistani society and unfolds the anarchy and talibanization within the educational institutions; laying bare the paradoxes , hypocrisy and contradictions of a dying society. As the progressive and humanistic elements in education are deemed immoral, the consciousness-raising organization ReWAC ( Revolutionary Women Action Committee) is crushed in the name of religion and morality.
