This sometimes leads to arrest. Come and find out why== Speaker:Mell Harrison, local activist and Campaign Officer for CND Mell's criminal record includes Criminal Damage, Obstruction of the Highway, Aggravated Trespass and Serious Organised Crime, although she would state that she is not the criminal. Mell will speak about why non-violent direct action is not only an important part of the democratic process. "Civil disobedience is not our problem. This is worth coming to for team building and preparedness, even if you’re not sure The Big Blockade. ==Feb 15th Aldermaston Big Blockade== http://www.tridentploughshares.org/article1577 For transport from Norwich, contact lesley7railway@yahoo.co.uk, cost about £24 This is an important event to organize for, highlighting and opposing the expansion of nuclear weapons production at Aldermaston, in the run-up to the Non-Proliferation Review Treaty in May. Blockading the factory at AWE is an effective way of disrupting the ongoing work of building and researching to produce the next generation of nuclear weapons. The main focus of the day will be impeding access to the illegal and immoral work at AWE Aldermaston, but if blockading isn’t your thing, don’t worry, there are lots of other things to do. --------------------- =[[Image:NorwichStopTheWarCoalition.jpg]]Stop the War events= == Friday 12th February Norwich Stop the War fundraiser Sun Of Cash== 8pm St Andrews Social Club, Yarmouth Road, Thorpe St Andrews, Norwich. This is a ground-breaking documentary that shatters all perceived truths behind the war in Afghanistan. The film covers a number of different segments including troops, Pakistan, cost of war, women in Afghanistan, civilian casualties, security and solutions.
