Here people can find out about and consider joining any of the diverse but interconnected organisations which exist to promote peace, justice and better understanding. The Peace Camp invites people to bring and contribute their own viewpoints, ideas and suggestions, in a day-long event devoted to peace and better relations. We think in terms of an alternative independence day promoting peace, understanding, justice and genuine concern for others among other things, let us aim to make this 4th Norwich Peace Camp the best and most all embracing yet. Shan ---------- ==Upholding Human Rights in Britain and Europe, Monday July, 6th 2009, 5:30 pm, Coucil Chamber, City Hall== A talk by Nuala Mole, Founder and Director of the AIRE CENTRE a registered charity specialising in information, advice, and legal assistance on all aspects of international human rights law Organised by Norfolk Community Law Service (NCLS) to celebrate 60 years since the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Decemebr 1948 The talk, which is open to the public, will follow the NCLS AGM. Join us for a peaceful, hassle-free day out - coach-driven there and back! The coach will depart from Castle Meadow at 10.30am sharp (bus stop is at the end nearest the Regimental Museum). We will arrive at Anglesey Abbey at approximately 12.00. The coach will depart from Anglesey Abbey at 3.30pm and will arive back in Norwich at approximately 5pm. This is a 2-day "fundamentals" course for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful transition initiative. It is packed with imaginative and inspiring ways to delve into both the theory and practice of Transition. The cost is £105. Although this course is available both nationally and internationally it would be good to fill the places with people from Norwich and East Anglia to maximise our networking and support for each other.
