Time tbc but likely to be an all-day event. *Sat+Sun, 25/26 July - Training for Transition Day 1, Time: 9:30 - 17:30, Venue: Inner Space, 8 Maude Gray Court, St Benedicts Street, Norwich NR2 4PA The next Training for Transition course will be on 25/26th July at Inner Space with tutors from the Transition Network and Transition Town Totnes. This is a 2-day "fundamentals" course for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful transition initiative. It is packed with imaginative and inspiring ways to delve into both the theory and practice of Transition. The cost is £105. Although this course is available both nationally and internationally it would be good to fill the places with people from Norwich and East Anglia to maximise our networking and support for each other. This has left contemporary British society in a troubled and dysfunctional state, without the cohesion or confidence needed if we are to escape from recession, combat climate change and restore faith in government. The authors put forward a theoretical framework for understanding contemporary politics; and they consider what is to be done to revitalise the British left, challenge neoliberal hegemony, and develop a political project aimed at creating a greener, fairer, happier, more democratic and less divided Britain.
