We shall be orgainising 2 events at the end of this week in which you are invited to participate. FRIDAY 2nd JANUARY AT 12 NOON - Stall on the Haymarket with petitions and leaflets. Contact Julie Bremner 07866 504671 or withjulie@hotmail.co.uk SATURDAY 3RD JANUARY 12 NOON TILL 1PM, OPPOSITE THE FORUM. PROTEST FOR GAZA Poster attached with details. This is the most significant event in the MIddle East for a long time with huge numbers being killed by the Israeli bombardment. The Guardian suggested at least 335 and 4 Israelis dead while the Palestinian News network recorded 363 deaths with a further 1,700 injured. This has to be stopped! More information contact Frank 01493 664499 Did you know that the spunky bloke who recently threw his shoes at Bush has been badly beaten / tortured, and is imminently going on trial, with a likelihood of suffering between one and five years in prison?! The 'Fathers for Justice' bloke who hit Blair with the purple powder got only a thousand pound fine -- and no torture!! When I threw 'No cluster bombs' leaflets into the Chamber of the House of Commons, all that happened to me (after being somewhat roughly handled in the Chamber) was that I was banned from entering the House of Commons for a while.) Here is a video I have made, in solidarity with the shoe-thrower.
