==Tar Sands Extravaganza, May 29th, Queen Street RBS 11am Flashmob==

A group of Norwich activists are seeking support for a RBS protest
extravaganza on Saturday the 29th of May. The event will start at 11:00am
outside RBS on Queens st. in Norwich city centre.
As part of the protest we would like conduct a flashmob 'die in'
accompanied by a samba band, banners, leafleting, and a short march around
the city centre. We'd really like you to come along, even if its just to
say hello and see what's going on.
Here is a short blurb about our motivations:
Nature doesn't do bailouts! RBS-Natwest (owned 84% by the UK taxpayer),
keeps providing billions for the extraction of tar sands in Canada –
causing the destruction of huge areas of borreal forests, intoxication of
water resources and the destruction of the lives and livelihoods of
indigenous communities. Due to the high-energy extraction process, tar
sands cause even more CO2 emissions; heating the climate more than
'normal' fossil fuels. From fossil fool's day on April 1st onwards, groups
throughout the UK and all over the world will target banks providing money
for tar sands projects, demanding them to stop fueling destruction.
Especially RBS/Natwest, after being bailed out with public funds, has to
apply environmental and social criteria to its credit provisions. Stop

the Art of Norwich has firmly established itself among Norwich's
thriving art scene. Their exhibitions feature such a diverse range of 
styles, there is always something to satisfy every visitor's
prediliction.

Free and open to all, there is no excuse not to pop in when you are next in
the city. In addition to the works on display, a range of exclusive
art-cards and other assorted trinkets will be on sale, at very
oreasonable prices.

==Discovering Refugee History: Exhibition, 13-20 June, The Forum==
A display of six panels highlighting the history of refugees to Norwich from the sixteenth century through to the twentieth century. Each panel includes information on the history of these refugees, along with a museum artefact, library object
or document from the Record Office, to illustrate their story, chosen by current refugees and asylum seekers.
The panels have been produced by Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service, Norfolk Library and Information Service and Norfolk Record Office.

They can be viewed outside the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library, The Forum, Norwich

Isobel Ingram will be telling Esau’s Story. This is the story of a Ugandan asylum seeker and his journey from Rochester Prison and Yarlswood Detention Centre, through months of hearings and appeals to the final achievement of refugee status.

Two-day experiential workshop, based on Process Work developed by Dr. Arnold Mindell - an awareness practice for facilitating individual and collective change rooted in psychology, spirituality and social activism. Using movement and image-making to help meet the changes that happen to us and explore what blocks us from making the changes we want. Facilitated by Helen Wells and Louise Warner, who are both experienced in individual and group work in a variety of settings. Sliding scale from £120 to £60 based on ability to pay.
